Discussion Details
hi everyone I’m a beginner working on a software project and I want to improve its security using GitHub Code Security features.
I would like to understand how to properly set up and use:
Code Scanning
Secret Scanning
Dependabot
Dependency/Supply Chain Security
Could someone please guide me on the basic setup process and explain which features I should enable first for a beginner project?
I have already searched the existing discussions and GitHub Code Security documentation, but I’m still unsure about the correct configuration.
Any simple step-by-step guidance would be really helpful. Thank you
