University doesn't issue institutional email to undergrad students - can't verify for Student Developer Pack

Hi everyone,

Hello,

I'm a regular (currently enrolled) undergraduate student at the National University of the Northeast (UNNE), Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, studying Licenciatura en Economía, in Argentina.

When applying for the Student Developer Pack, the system requires verification through a school-issued email on the comunidad.unne.edu.ar domain. However, I confirmed directly with my university that UNNE does not currently issue institutional email accounts to undergraduate students - only to staff and some graduate programs.

I don't have access to any UNNE-issued email address and I'm not able to get one through official channels (I already tried).

Is there a way to verify my student status manually using alternative documentation instead (such as a government ID plus an official enrollment certificate from my university's student portal)? I'd appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.

Hey,
You prove enrollment with official documents instead. A current enrollment certificate from UNNE that clearly shows your full name, university/faculty, degree program, and a recent date.

Keep your GitHub profile/billing name exactly consistent with the document before applying again.
Since you’ve already confirmed with the university that undergraduate students can’t get an institutional email, I’d mention that clearly in any follow up as well. Hopefully GitHub can treat this as an exception rather than sending you back to an email address that doesn’t exist.
