Hi everyone,

I am a newly enrolled freshman at Xuchang Vocational Technical College (许昌职业技术学院). My GitHub username is Anesthesia-aa.

I recently applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack but received a rejection with only this message:
“We were unfortunately not able to verify your academic status. Please address the following issues and apply again.”

No specific issue was listed in my rejection notice, so I am requesting a manual review.

What I have already done to comply with common requirements:

• Enabled 2FA on my GitHub account.
• Made sure my GitHub profile name matches my official documents exactly.
• Uploaded a clear photo of my admission letter (or official enrollment verification from the Chinese Ministry of Education) as proof of my freshman status.
• Did not use a VPN, proxy, or any location‑masking tool during the application.
• Allowed browser and operating system location access.

Since I am a new student and do not yet have a school‑issued email address, I used the document‑based verification path. I believe my application may have been rejected by an automated system by mistake.

Could someone from the GitHub Education team please conduct a manual review of my application? I am happy to provide additional documentation if needed.
