Hi everyone,

Hello, I am trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack.

My university, Universidad Nacional de Asunción (FCQ-UNA) in Paraguay, is not listed in the school dropdown, and my verified institutional email domain @quiuna.edu.py is not recognized by the system (it gives me the error: "We require applicants to use a school-issued email address").

Open the right ticket

Go to support.github.com (or education.github.com/contact) and submit an Education ticket. When it asks what the issue is, choose the option for "My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location." That's the designated route when a school's information — such as its email domains — is incorrect or incomplete.

Include exactly what you posted here, plus a couple of things that will save a round trip:

• Institution: Universidad Nacional de Asunción (UNA), Paraguay
• Faculty: Facultad de Ciencias Químicas (FCQ)
• Domain to add: quiuna.edu.py
• Institutional site that proves the domain belongs to the faculty — this is the important one, see below
• A screenshot of the exact error message

The thing likely to trip you up

Your domain is quiuna.edu.py but the website you gave is qui.una.py. Those don't match, and a reviewer verifying that the domain genuinely belongs to the institution will notice. The .una.py root is the main university; quiuna.edu.py reads like a separately registered mail domain for the faculty.

Before filing, find a page on an official una.py or qui.una.py address that shows quiuna.edu.py in use — a staff directory, a contact page, an admissions or academic-services page listing addresses at that domain. Link it directly in the ticket. Without that, the request stalls while someone tries to establish the connection themselves.

Also check the dropdown again for the parent institution rather than the faculty. "Universidad Nacional de Asunción" may already be listed, in which case the ask is narrower and easier to approve: add quiuna.edu.py as an additional domain to an existing school record.

Don't wait on it to apply

A school-issued email is one way to verify, not the only way. You can apply now using document proof — student ID with a current enrollment date, class schedule, transcript, or an enrollment verification letter — as long as your full name, the complete school name, and a current date are all legible in the image. Domain additions can take a while; document verification runs on its own track.
