Hi everyone,

Issue Overview
I am unable to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack on my current GitHub account. The system returns an error stating that my academic discount/email has already been used.

Background Details

• I previously claimed the Student Developer Pack using a university Google/email account linked to an old GitHub profile.
• I have since permanently deleted both the old GitHub account and the underlying Google account associated with it.
• I recreated my setup and linked my university email to my current, active GitHub account, but the eligibility check is still blocked by the old database entry.

It says:

There was an error creating the discount request. Errors: Discount request could not be created. Discount request errors: 080bct009@ioepc.edu.np has already been used to obtain an academic discount on GitHub account(s) Srivastavavisek.

Request for Assistance
Since the original account no longer exists, I cannot manage or unlink the verification status myself. Could a GitHub Education team member please help reset or release the academic identifier tied to the deleted account so I can verify my current profile?

I have active proof of enrollment (Student ID) ready to share via a private channel upon request.

This is an already documented bottleneck in the Github Education verfiation syst. to prevent duplication claims

I suggest for you to submit a direct ticket to Github's Education Support, you'll have to provide:

1. Your old username and the comfirmation the account is deleted
2. Your current active username
3. Your uni email
4. Proof of enrrollment
5. The exact error message ( either via screenshot or copy-pasting
