Contact GitHub Support and provide both verification dates plus the email showing the incorrect name. Ask them to investigate the March 23 record and confirm it wasn’t created without your authorization. Also mention clearly that your current Education benefits through August 13, 2028 should not be affected. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
I recently noticed something unusual in my GitHub Education history and I am unsure how to resolve it.
My GitHub username is ouuwz, and my correct name is Sourav Aarav.
I currently have an active GitHub Education verification that I personally completed on August 13, 2026 using my university academic email. My current benefits are active until August 13, 2028.
However, my Education history also shows an older verification dated March 23, 2026. I do not remember submitting or authorizing that application.
I also found a GitHub Education email sent to my email address that greets me as “Fajar Aditya Hidayat.” This is not my name, and I do not recognize why this name is associated with my GitHub Education history.
Because of this, I am concerned that the older March 23, 2026 application may have been created without my knowledge or authorization.
What's the correct way to contact GitHub Education Support and have the older record investigated or the incorrect name removed/corrected?
I do not want my current Education verification or benefits, which are valid until August 13, 2028, to be affected.

I can provide screenshots of the two verification records and the email containing the incorrect name.
Thank you.
