Hello @mrkrausestem I hope you are doing well. From the github education portal you upgrade the plan to teams. If this doesn't work for you, try to create new classroom, It will detect that your verified educator status. Peace. |

i'd avoid paying for team during organization creation. create the new org on free first and check whether it appears as eligible from your github education benefits/classroom setup. if the benefit is tied to only one organization, you may need to transfer the education benefit from the old org or contact education support to associate the new one. would be useful if github documented this migration scenario, especially for teachers who reset classrooms between academic years. |
Uh oh!

Hi everyone,
I have been using github education and github classroom for a number of years now. I want to start with a fresh organization because there is no way to mass delete old students' repositories and I figured this was a great time to transition. When I create a new organization, I am being prompted for payment even though my educator license is still valid of 2 more years. I cannot find anywhere in the docs if I am limited to 1 team level organization or if I have to revalidate each time.
Can someone fill me in on if I can create a new organization and how it is one. Classroom50 does not work with the free organizations.
