👋 Hello @Jeries9947, I've refreshed the contributors list, so it should be up to date now. If you run into this problem again, please contact GitHub support. From our docs:

The same stale sidebar behavior is affecting another public repository: https://github.com/chrissotraidis/cobolens As of September 1, 2026:
The overview sidebar therefore disagrees with both the API and Contributors graph. I also submitted the documented support request, but the Standard-plan portal automatically closed it and directed me to self-service Community resources. Could GitHub staff please refresh or rebuild the contributor data for Thank you. |

The same discrepancy affects my public repository: https://github.com/Jafa7/OrchestratorEngine. Could GitHub staff please investigate and refresh the homepage contributor data, as was done for the repository above? Verified on September 6, 2026:
Claude attribution was previously removed from the history, but the homepage still lists it. I submitted a ticket through the documented GitHub Support route; the virtual assistant said my account has self-service support options and directed me to Community resources. Expected: the homepage Contributors list should agree with the current history and both REST API results. Please let me know if any additional repository-specific evidence is needed. Thank you. |

I'm seeing the same issue with my public repository: https://github.com/panasee/pyflexlab The repository homepage still shows
I also tried contacting GitHub Support, but my account only has self-service/community support options, so I was redirected here. Could GitHub staff please refresh/rebuild the homepage contributor data for Thank you. |

Thanks for the detailed investigation. Since you’ve already checked the commit history and confirmed that the unexpected Claude entry isn’t coming from the commit author metadata or a The fact that Insights → Contributors shows the expected contributors while the homepage continues to display Claude makes the discrepancy especially interesting. If it persists across new commits, pushes, and refreshes, it would be useful for GitHub to investigate whether the homepage contributor list is using stale or independently generated data. Recommended next step: I’d suggest opening a GitHub Support request and including the repository URL, screenshots of both contributor views, the affected contributor name, and a few example commit SHAs that demonstrate the discrepancy. This should give GitHub enough information to compare the data sources and check whether the homepage contributor cache needs to be rebuilt. I wouldn’t recommend rewriting or amending the existing commits just to remove the contributor, especially since the commit metadata appears correct. Hopefully GitHub can identify the source of the stale entry and refresh the contributor data on the repository homepage. |

I’m seeing the same pattern described here. It’s interesting that the repository homepage can still show Since GitHub has already refreshed the contributor list for the original repository, it seems like this may be related to stale or cached contributor data on the repository homepage. For anyone experiencing this, it may be worth waiting around 24 hours after any history changes before contacting Support. If the incorrect contributor is still shown after that, providing the repository URL, screenshots, and the REST API results should make it easier for GitHub to investigate. Hopefully GitHub can apply the same contributor-data refresh to the other affected repositories as well. |

I’m seeing inconsistent contributor information on my repository Jeries9947/fusa_cpu.
The repository homepage Contributors section shows an additional Claude contributor, but Insights → Contributors shows only the two actual contributors: Jeries9947 and natalieGha.
I also verified the current commit history and the relevant commits are authored and committed by the actual repository contributors. Some historical commit messages contain text such as Sonnet 4.6 noreply@anthropic.com, but those lines are part of the commit message and are not Co-authored-by: trailers or commit author metadata.
The incorrect contributor has remained visible on the repository homepage for several days, including after additional pushes and refreshes.
Has anyone encountered this stale contributor/sidebar behavior, and is there a way to force GitHub to rebuild the homepage contributor data?
