Hello GitHub Support Team,

My GitHub account @Super1Windcloud was recently suspended with the following notice:

“Access to your account has been suspended due to a violation of our Terms of Service. Please contact support for more information.”

I was very surprised by this suspension because, to the best of my knowledge, I have never knowingly violated GitHub's Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policies.

I have primarily used GitHub for normal software development, maintaining my own projects, committing code, and participating in open-source development. I have never intentionally engaged in spam, abuse, unauthorized access, or activity intended to disrupt GitHub or its users.

I would sincerely appreciate a manual review of my account. If a particular repository, commit, API request, automated process, or other activity caused the suspension, I would be grateful if GitHub could let me know what happened so that I can understand and address the issue.

This account is extremely important to me. I have used it for approximately four years and currently have around 78 open-source repositories, representing several years of learning and development work. I am very concerned about losing access to these projects and being unable to maintain them.

I also take account security seriously. The account is protected by multiple security measures, including GitHub Mobile, my phone number, two-factor authentication (2FA), an Apple passkey, and my Apple iCloud email address.

If I unintentionally violated any GitHub policy, I am fully willing to cooperate with the investigation, correct the issue, and comply with GitHub's policies going forward.

If this suspension was caused by an automated detection error, suspicious activity that I was unaware of, or a misunderstanding, I respectfully ask GitHub to manually review my case and reconsider the suspension.

one thing worth checking is whether there were any recent changes to your account, ssh keys, tokens, github actions, or third-party apps that could have triggered automated security systems. checking your email for github security notifications and removing anything unfamiliar may also help when submitting the appeal.
