Hi GitHub team,
I have a small UX suggestion regarding external links on GitHub user profiles.
Currently, when clicking an external link on a user's profile, such as a LinkedIn link, it opens in the same tab and takes the user away from GitHub. It could be helpful if these external links opened in a new tab, allowing users to explore the external profile while keeping their current GitHub page open.
I understand that automatically opening new tabs may not be preferred by every user, so perhaps this could be considered carefully from a usability and accessibility perspective.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!
