Hi everyone,

Hello GitHub Education Team,
My college, Ideal Arts and Science College (Cherpulassery, Kerala, India), is registered in the GitHub database with an institutional email requirement. However, the institution does not provision email accounts for students. Every document submission with a personal email is automatically rejected with: "Attendees of this school must verify and use their academic email address."
Could an Education team moderator please assist in updating the verification requirements for this institution or enable manual document review for my account (arjunpk8910)?

Hi,

If your college does not issue student email addresses, GitHub allows you to provide official documentation explaining that policy. A letter on college letterhead or a link to the college's official website would be useful.

I would recommend contacting GitHub Education Support and explaining that your college is already listed, but does not provide student email accounts. Include your college's full name, website, and a screenshot of the error.

Ask whether they can enable document-based verification for your account.
