Hi everyone,

I am a teacher in Korea.

I attempted teacher verification again after translating my Certificate of Employment into English and taking a photo of it, but the verification was rejected.

However, the reason for the rejection was not provided, so I do not know what the problem is.

The rejection message only says that GitHub could not verify your academic status. It does not show the exact reason, so it is difficult to know what needs to be corrected.

I would recommend checking that your name, institution, and academic information match your GitHub profile and billing information. If everything is correct, try submitting a clear, official document again.

If the application is still rejected, you can ask the GitHub Education team for clarification through the official support process. They may be able to explain what information is missing or what needs to be corrected.

I entered all the items, but my approval was rejected for no reason, so I am curious.

I understand. If you’ve already addressed the issues mentioned in the email and submitted the required information again, but your application was still rejected without any further explanation, I can see why this would be confusing.

In that case, I’d recommend contacting GitHub Education Support and including the rejection email and the verification details you submitted. Since the listed issues have already been addressed, they should be able to clarify what is still preventing the verification from being approved.

Hopefully they can provide a specific reason rather than requiring you to guess what needs to be changed.
