Hungarian name order causes infinite OCR loop (Faculty Application)

Hi everyone,

Hello GitHub Education Team,

I am stuck in an infinite OCR loop while trying to verify my Faculty application. In Hungary, the official name order on documents is Last Name followed by First Name.

The automated verification system keeps rejecting my perfectly valid, officially stamped employment certificate, stating: "Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your last name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information."

My billing information is correct, but the OCR bot cannot understand the Eastern name order on the document. I even tried attaching a clear English translation note next to the original document, but the bot still auto-rejects it.

Since manual ticket submissions are disabled, I am asking for help here. Could a human moderator please look into my account (@lnagykriszti-byte) and manually review my application? I have all the valid documents ready.

I think the issue may be related to how the automated system reads Hungarian name order.

If your document shows your surname first, make sure your GitHub profile name and billing information match your legal name exactly, including the order and spacing.

You could also try uploading a clear photo of your official employment certificate that shows your full name, school name, and current employment dates. If the document is not in English, you can include an English translation next to it.

If everything already matches and the application is still rejected, I would recommend contacting GitHub Education Support and explaining that the automated verification is failing to recognize your name format. Include the steps you have already tried and ask whether they can review the issue.
