Repeated rejection - name/date issue despite matching profile #206707

Hi, If your name and dates already match your academic document, I would recommend checking whether the document clearly shows that you are currently enrolled. An admission date alone may not be enough. If possible, try a document that shows your current enrollment or academic year, such as a current enrollment certificate, student ID with a valid date, or another official document from your institution. Also, make sure your GitHub profile and billing information use your full name exactly as it appears on the document. If you have already tried both name orders, I would avoid repeatedly changing them and instead focus on the document's proof of current affiliation. If the same rejection continues despite these checks, I would contact GitHub Education Support and explain that you have already tried the recommended name changes and that your document contains both an issue date and an admission date. Ask whether they can manually review the application or clarify what date they require. I hope this helps! |

Re-verification/Repeat Application
Hi everyone,
I've applied for GitHub Education Student benefits multiple times and keep getting rejected for the same reasons:
I've already tried both name orderings (First/Last) in my GitHub billing info and profile, matching them exactly to my enrollment certificate, and logged out/back in each time before reapplying — still the same rejection message every time.
My enrollment certificate clearly shows both an issue date and an admission date, and my school email domain is already verified on my GitHub account.
Has anyone else run into this and found a workaround? Is there something about the automated review that's commonly missed?
