Hi everyone,

Dear GitHub Education Support Team,

I am writing to request a manual verification for my GitHub Global Campus application. My application was automatically rejected multiple times despite following all guidelines strictly.

Name Matching Issue (OCR Error): I have updated both my Public Profile and Billing Information to match my Japanese student ID perfectly. However, your automated OCR system appears to be failing to reconcile the First/Last name format with the continuous Japanese text on my ID.

Location & Virtual Learning: I am a working adult graduate student enrolled in a Master of Technology Management (MOT) program. The nature of this program means my research and learning are predominantly conducted remotely (Virtual learning) from my home/office, rather than on the physical campus. Your automated location check rejects me because I am not physically at the university campus at the time of application.

Camera Use: I have strictly used my device's live camera with location services enabled and no VPN.

Attached is my valid student ID, along with proof of my remote/working student status (e.g., course registration/portal screenshot). Please manually verify my academic affiliation, as the automated system is systematically rejecting valid non-traditional/remote students.

If the application is being rejected because of OCR or location checks, the best next step is to contact GitHub Education Support directly and request a manual review.

Explain that your legal name contains Japanese characters, which may not be recognized correctly by the automated OCR system, and that your program is conducted remotely, so you may not be physically present on campus. Provide a clear, valid student ID and an official document showing your current enrollment, such as a registration record, transcript, or enrollment letter.

Make sure the name and institution details match across your GitHub profile and submitted documents. Avoid posting personal documents or sensitive information publicly in the discussion. Instead, submit them through the official support process when requested.
