Hi everyone,

I've signed up for the Github Student Pack in the past without a problem. This year I just cannot get it to work. I've tried an enrolment letter for this year, my academic study and a screenshot of the student home screen. The problem seems to be that my university's name only appears on their documentation next to their logo where my name is visible and the name of the univeristy appears without the logo at the bottom of the page. If I hold the page too far from the camera in order to get my name and the name of the university in the picture, the verification complains it's not clear. If I hold it closer it's rejected with "The image you selected does not appear to contain your school name. Your complete school name must appear in your document, not only the school logo. "

I can't do anything about my university's page layout and design choices. There also doesn't seem to be a way to upload these documents - I can only use the system that takes a photo with my laptop's camera. Surely if I could upload these documents instead it would be able to see the name of the university at the bottom of the page?

Is there anything I can do or is that the end of the student pack for me?

I'm in the same boat. I've already verified my .edu email address, but still need to be able to upload the required documentation showing I'm actively enrolled. but there is no upload option that I can see... only a very small camera... which doesn't even allow me to snap a screenshot from my laptop like they are requesting. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

I think so you should create a support ticket, they can help you verify your student status.

Also try logging on your phone, maybe you can take a picture from your phone to upload the requested documents

I can't create a support ticket - you're guided to use this community forum only.

I've tried with my phone as well. Unsurprisingly it also doesn't work.

That is so weird. Can you try this, I helped someone create a ticket too like this here.

So, if you go to https://support.github.com/. In the header area, there should be an option for you to open "My Tickets". After you click that, you should see an option to create a new ticket. Enter a subject line, write up your issue, and submit. After that you'll see that Copilot answers the question, and and below that you should see an option to "Continue to create a ticket". You do that, and someone from GitHub should contact you soon.

If you go to Tickets and choose Education as the reason for your ticket you get this message and then the form becomes uneditable - the text boxes become greyed out. GitHub are making it as difficult as possible to get the student pack this year. It wouldn't surprise me to find that only certain universities are approved.
