Hi everyone,

Hello GitHub Education Community,

I am applying for GitHub Education as a currently enrolled Class 10 student.

My application has been rejected multiple times:

September 3, 2026: The application was rejected because the first name on my academic document did not exactly match my GitHub billing information.
September 3, 2026: Another application was rejected because the academic document was not submitted using the device camera.
September 4, 2026: The application was rejected again, but no specific reason or issue was provided.

I corrected the name in my GitHub billing information so that it matches my academic document exactly. I also followed the requirement to submit the academic document using the device camera.

However, the latest application was still rejected without giving me an actionable reason to correct.

Could someone please explain what I should check or change before applying again? I have reviewed the Education documentation and the requirements, but I am still unable to determine what is causing the verification failure.

Since you already corrected the name and followed the camera requirement, I would avoid submitting the same application repeatedly. The latest rejection without an explanation suggests there is another verification check failing, but the message does not reveal which one.

Before applying again, check:

• Your GitHub profile name and billing name match the academic document.
• Your school name is entered correctly.
• The document clearly shows your name, school, and current academic status.
• The document is current for the present academic year.
• The image is clear, complete, and readable.
• The document is an original document or an accepted form of proof, not an edited screenshot.
• Your GitHub account email is verified.
• If your school provides an official email address, add and verify it on GitHub.
• Make sure you are applying from the GitHub account you intend to use for the Education benefits.

Since you have already been rejected multiple times, I would contact GitHub Education Support before another submission. Mention the three rejection dates and the reasons you were previously given. Ask them to identify what verification requirement is failing now.

I would also avoid changing unrelated account information between attempts. Make one clear correction at a time so you know what affected the result.
