Hi everyone,

I keep getting rejected because it says my name is different to the one on my billing info when I have verified that this is not the case, I tried both with accents and without them and nothing seems to work.

Name mismatch rejection when profile and billing already match often comes from accent characters or middle name handling in OCR.

Try:

1. Settings, Profile. Set display name to exact ASCII spelling on enrollment document. Remove accents temporarily if document uses unaccented Latin.

2. Settings, Billing. Confirm billing name matches character for character.

3. If document has José and profile has Jose, they must match one format consistently on both profile and document upload.

4. Upload PDF enrollment letter, not photo. OCR reads accents poorly on photos.

5. Apply using verified university email.

6. After 3 attempts, Support, GitHub Education. Attach PDF. State: profile, billing, and document all show identical name including accents. Ask which field OCR compares.

Community cannot see OCR comparison logic. Support can clarify accent handling for your locale.

I've managed to fix the name issue but now it's telling me that the document suddenly doesn't contain a valid date anymore, I don't know what to do anymore. And I can't find any way to get support, I've opened a ticket on git hub, but no education specific one was found to attach anything.

Hi everyone, I have an issue where to login to get the student pack which requires the institutional email, my college haven't activated it so I can't use the school email. Please if anyone has an alternative for that step I will be really grateful 🙏

I don't think there is another way except to wait for your school to activate it. Mine automatically got accepted as soon as I submitted my college email. Maybe you can contact your school contact to activate it.
