Hi everyone,

I enrolled in the GitHub Student Developer Pack last year, and my benefits are set to expire in a few days. Since I’m still a second-year B.Tech student, I’d like to renew my student benefits. Am I eligible to renew them, and if so, what is the process?

How to Renew Your Benefits:

1. Go to the GitHub Education Portal:
   • Visit education.github.com/pack or navigate to your Settings → GitHub Education page.
2. Start Re-verification:
   • Click Re-verify your academic status or Submit an application.
3. Select Your School Email:
   • Make sure your college-issued student email (.ac.in or .edu) is verified and selected on your account.
4. Upload Updated Proof of Enrollment:
   • Take a live photo of your current 2nd-year Student ID card, latest semester mark sheet/transcript, or an enrollment verification letter on letterhead showing your name, school name, and current academic year.
   • Note: Upload a clear, uncropped photo showing all 4 corners of the paper document (avoid uploading screenshots or edited images to pass automated verification).
5. Submit & Wait for Approval:
   • Once approved, your GitHub Pro, Copilot, and Student Developer Pack partner perks will automatically extend for another year!

Go to GitHub Education and open the Student Developer Pack application.
Make sure your school-issued email address is verified on your GitHub account.
Update your GitHub profile with your current school and student information.
Submit current proof of enrollment if GitHub requests it.
Complete the verification process and wait for approval.

Since you're still a second-year B.Tech student, your continued enrollment is the key eligibility factor. Your previous approval does not guarantee automatic renewal, because GitHub may require you to verify your current student status again.
