Hi everyone,

Hello,

I am currently enrolled as a student at Aksaray University in Türkiye, and I am trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack.

My application is being rejected almost immediately after I submit it. The rejection happens within seconds, so I believe this may be an automated verification issue rather than an actual review of my academic document.

I have already checked and completed the requirements mentioned in the rejection messages:

• My GitHub account has two-factor authentication enabled.
• My GitHub profile uses my full legal name exactly as it appears on my academic document.
• My GitHub billing information uses the same full legal name.
• My academic document contains my full name and Aksaray University.
• I am currently enrolled at Aksaray University.
• I have tried submitting my academic document using the device camera as requested.

However, the application continues to be rejected immediately.

The rejection message says that my document does not appear to contain my school name and that my first and last names do not match my billing information, even though these details have been checked and updated to match my academic document.

I have also tried using a different browser/device, but the issue persists.

I would appreciate any advice on what might be causing the automated verification to fail and what I should change before submitting another application.

What academic document did you submit? Is it an identification card?

An immediate rejection usually points more toward an issue with the automated verification process or the information being matched, rather than the document simply being unreadable.

Since you've already confirmed that your name, university, 2FA, and billing information are set up correctly, I would avoid repeatedly submitting the same application. Make sure the name and other identifying information are entered exactly as they appear on the document, including spelling, order, and any middle names or diacritics.

If everything matches and the application is still rejected within seconds, I would contact GitHub Support/Student Developer Pack support and ask them to review the verification result manually. Include the exact rejection message, your university, and screenshots showing the relevant information.

I wouldn't recommend trying to work around the automated verification with different personal information, since that can create additional verification problems.
