Historical contributions missing after re-adding verified commit email

I removed a historical commit email from my GitHub account, which caused some older contributions to disappear from my contribution graph.
I have now re-added and verified the same email, but the missing historical contributions have not returned.

For example, raahu1l/PostGuard contains multiple commits from December 2025 and March 2026. Commit c52a522 confirms that it was authored using the historical email that is now connected to my account.

The commits still exist in the repository, but the corresponding contributions are not appearing correctly on my profile.
Could someone advise whether my contribution data can be reprocessed/rebuilt?
I've attached screenshots showing the commit email, repository history, contribution graph, and currently verified emails.

Hey, I removed an old commit email from my account a while back, which made some historical contributions disappear. I've since re-added and verified that same email, but the contributions still haven't come back after 24h+.

Example: raahu1l/PostGuard has commits from Dec 2025 and Mar 2026 authored with that email (you can check commit c52a522.patch), but they're still not showing on my graph.

Is there anything that needs to be manually reprocessed on your end, or something I'm missing? Happy to share more details if needed.

When you remove an email address from your GitHub account, the commits authored with that email stop counting toward your contributions — that's expected. Re-adding and verifying the email re-attributes those commits, but it isn't instant: the contribution graph is recalculated in the background and can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to catch up. There's no button to force a rebuild; it happens on GitHub's side.

A few things worth double-checking in the meantime:

• The email on those commits must match the address on your account exactly. Check with git log that the author email on the old commits is identical to the one you re-added.
• The commits need to be in the repository's default branch — commits on forks don't count toward the graph.
• If the graph still hasn't recovered after several days, contact GitHub Support — they can reprocess your contribution data manually.
