Thanks a lot It's been resolved, and it's currently showing the shark badge again. But I have a problem: my merged commits have exceeded 128, but my badge is still showing shark x2 |

in future if this happen again what you can try . You can turn off the visibility of GitHub badges (Achievements) either by hiding the entire Achievements section or by hiding specific individual badges. Here are the step-by-step instructions to do both: Option 1: unHide/Hide the Entire Achievements SectionIf you want to completely remove all badges from your public profile, follow these steps outlined in the [GitHub Documentation](https://docs.github.com/en/account-and-profile/how-tos/contribution-settings/manage-visibility-settings-for-private-contributions-and-achievements):
Option 2: Hide Specific Individual BadgesIf you want to keep some badges but hide others, you can change their visibility individually:

The visibility-settings route is covered above, so two additions that pin down which case you're in: 1. Hidden vs. gone — one check. A badge hidden via the eye icon (or the profile setting) is still visible to you while logged in — hidden achievements are only hidden from other people. So: do you still see the x2 badge on your own profile when logged in? If yes, it's a toggle (undo it from the badge's eye icon or Settings → Public profile). If no — you see what I see logged-out: your profile currently shows the base Pull Shark (plus Pair Extraordinaire), not x2. 2. What a downgrade means. A tier drop from x2 to base points at re-evaluation, not a glitch: achievements are recomputed against your current qualifying activity, and when repositories hosting some of your merged PRs have since been deleted or made private, the count can fall back under the x2 threshold (16) while staying above the base (2) — exactly the drop visible on your profile. A public search for merged PRs under your account currently returns 0, consistent with the PRs that earned x2 no longer living in public repos. What to do: there's no user-side "restore" — the badge tracks the count. If some of those repos were made private and you can make them public again, the tier should return on the next re-scan. If you're confident the count still qualifies (≥16 merged PRs in repos that are still public), give the re-scan a few days, then file a support ticket with the count and repo list — support can trigger a recompute. |

On the x3 question: Pull Shark counts merged pull requests, not commits. The tiers are 2 → 16 → 128 → 1024 merged PRs, so 128 commits spread across, say, 20 PRs still only counts as 20, which is x2. A PR with 50 commits in it counts once. To see your real number, search So if some of your PRs are still open, they don't count yet. Once enough of them are merged to take your total past 128 merged PRs, you'll get Pull Shark x3, usually within a day or so. |

Hello everyone,
I previously had the Sharkx2 achievement badge displayed on my GitHub profile, but I recently noticed that it is no longer visible.
Has anyone experienced the same issue, or does anyone know why this might happen? I'd appreciate any guidance on how to restore the badge if possible.
Thank you for your help!
Best regards.
