Hi everyone,

Hi everyone.

I have a intermediate diploma printed that shows the disciplines already done in a undergraduate degree from university in Lisbon, Portugal.

I physical have it and it shows around more than half of the courses I needed to complete the entire degree.

Problem is, I cannot get the camera to capture the physical document well enough for the verification to work.

I do have the physical document and even the .pdf.

This is it.

And No matter how much I am trying to get the student verification for my github account, I cannot seem to be able to make this work well enough.

Please, I am posting it here, I can mail the support if needed... Someone please help me with this.

the camera verification can be pretty picky with physical documents.

1. put the certificate completely flat on a table and use the rear camera, not a screenshot or scan. make sure all 4 corners are visible and the text takes up most of the frame.

2. use bright indirect light and avoid reflections/shadows, especially if the document has stamps or glossy elements. clean the camera lens first.

3. don't crop, edit, sharpen, or add the pdf/translation to the photo. give the verifier one clean photo of the original document.

4. if the autofocus keeps failing, tap on the text area before taking the photo and move the phone slightly farther away rather than getting extremely close. the document needs to be readable, not just technically inside the frame.

5. since you also have the original pdf, keep it ready in case support asks for it, but for the camera verification I'd focus on getting a clear photo of the physical certificate first.

the important part is that your name, university name, and date are all clearly readable in the same photo.
