Pull Request labels are missing from the web Pull Requests list but visible in GitHub Mobile

Hi GitHub team,
I noticed an inconsistency between the GitHub website and the GitHub Mobile app when viewing pull requests.

On the GitHub Mobile app, labels are displayed directly in the Pull Requests list. For example:

documentation
type: enhancement
topic: documentation
community
cloud
tracking
However, when viewing the same Pull Requests through the GitHub website/browser, the labels are not displayed in the Pull Requests list.
For example, the same PR can appear on mobile as:

Clarify Processing link in documentation
type: enhancement topic: documentation
while the web Pull Requests list only shows the PR title and other metadata.

Good catch on this UI quirk! The web version actually does render labels in the PR list, but its responsive design aggressively hides them if your browser window is even slightly too narrow, whereas the mobile app smartly stacks them underneath the title. Try zooming out your browser just a tick (Ctrl/Cmd + minus) or widening the window, those tags should instantly snap back into view. It is definitely a frustrating design choice that prioritizes whitespace over crucial metadata, and you are totally spot on that the web team needs to adopt mobile's stacking approach for smaller desktop screens!

Confirming what @2171001 said — the labels do render on the web PR list, but they're the first thing the responsive layout drops as the viewport narrows. Quick test: hit Ctrl/Cmd + minus a couple of times and see if the labels snap back in.

If they still don't show even at full width and 100% zoom, check your extensions. Ad blockers with element-hiding rules sometimes target the label pill markup and strip them from the page entirely. Try the same list in an incognito/private window with extensions disabled — if the labels appear there, it's a local extension doing it, not the GitHub UI.

And for what it's worth, the individual PR page always shows its labels regardless, so nothing is lost from the PR itself — it's purely the list view's layout choice.
