Hi everyone,

My faculty application was rejected on September 28, 2026. The rejection says my document lacks the school name and faculty status. However, my signed, dated English-language confirmation explicitly includes my full name, the complete school name in the body, and confirms that I am an active faculty member.

The application uses an English school name, while the document uses the official German name. Could this cause a mismatch? How can I resolve these contradictory rejection reasons, and is there a private channel for providing evidence?

Thanks! I already tried https://support.github.com/contact/education. Selecting “Application not approved (faculty)” disables the contact form and says individual manual reviews are no longer provided, directing me back to this community. Could you share a working contact link or explain which support option I should use?

You could also try contacting GitHub Support through https://help.github.com/search. There should be an option there to create a support ticket after signing in. Maybe you can explain the situation and attach the same document there for a manual review.
