Looks like you've already ruled out all the usual stuff (email, default branch, not a fork), so I don't think this is anything on your end. There's an open incident right now where the contribution graph isn't counting commits properly: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/203416 A lot of people in that thread are reporting the exact same thing starting around Sept 27. One person had 4 commits on the 28th and the calendar only counted 1, even though all 4 showed up under Contribution activity. Same pattern as yours. No timeline from GitHub yet, so I'd subscribe to that thread and drop your username there so your account gets included when they reprocess. Your commits are fine and correctly attributed, they should show up once it's fixed. |

One thing that stands out: GraphQL reports 1 contribution on Sept 29 and 1 on Sept 30. So the commits may not be missing. They might just be landing on different days because of time zones. A few things worth checking:
If you're in a time zone like UTC+5:30, a commit made early in the morning on the 29th local time is still the 28th in UTC. A commit made late on the 29th can also end up on the 30th, depending on how the date is converted.
If the timestamps all fall clearly on the 29th in UTC and a wider query still only finds 1 commit for the repo, then it's worth contacting GitHub Support (support.github.com) with the three SHAs. They can check contribution indexing on their side. |

Same issue: [Ahmed-Adel-0], private repo SurveyBasket. Sep 28: 5 commits on master, contribution graph counts only 2. Sep 29 was also undercounted at first, but later fixed itself. Email is verified, not a fork, private contributions enabled. |

GitHub profile contribution graph shows only 1 contribution for 3 commits
Hi GitHub Community,
I'm having an issue with my profile contribution graph for September 29, 2026.
I pushed three separate commits to my repository:
Repository:
naveen-elayaraja/Smart-Basket---BackendDefault branch:
mainRepository: standalone, not a fork
The three commits are:
d52531ac28952d8c8068e0a76c5a948739e9ff6bb38704330bbc8377b62ed3659f01c97831600082f5b66203512cacba2ef5fa7c4c3ef6ec335613f0All three commits have been verified through the GitHub API and show:
naveen-elayarajanaveen-elayarajanaveenkarthikeyaneelayaraja@gmail.comI also verified that the email is associated with and verified on my GitHub account.
The GitHub REST API returns all three commits from the repository.
However, when I query my GitHub GraphQL
contributionsCollectionfor September 29–30, 2026, it reports:contributionCount = 1contributionCount = 1For
naveen-elayaraja/Smart-Basket---Backend, GraphQL reports only:commitCount = 1Therefore, the repository contains and correctly attributes all three commits to my account, but only one is currently being counted in my profile contribution graph.
I have already waited more than 24 hours and verified the repository, branch, commit author, committer, and email information.
Could someone please help determine why only one of these three qualifying commits is being included in my profile contribution count?
Thank you.
