Hi, I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue. Since you've already contacted GitHub Support, submitted a reinstatement request, and provided the necessary screenshots and information, I recommend waiting for their review. Avoid creating multiple support tickets for the same issue, as this may complicate the process. Keep an eye on your registered email for updates from GitHub Support, and retain any relevant evidence regarding the changes to your profile visibility, contributions, and GitHub Education benefits. Since you can still access your account, continue monitoring its security activity and avoid making unnecessary changes while the review is ongoing. Only GitHub Support can confirm the reason for the “Spammy” label and determine whether your account can be reinstated. Response times may vary, so there is no guaranteed resolution timeframe. I hope your account and its associated benefits are restored soon. Best of luck! |

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from the GitHub Community regarding an issue with my account.
My GitHub username is
hardikkaurani.Recently, I noticed that my account is showing a red “Spammy” label next to my username on another user’s Following page. At the same time, my profile is not normally visible to other users, although I can still log in to my account.
I also noticed that my contribution count changed and some profile-related features, including my GitHub Education benefits, were affected around the same time.
I have already contacted GitHub Support and submitted a reinstatement/review request (ticket #4817160). I have also provided screenshots and relevant information to Support.
I’m posting here because I would like to understand:
I can still access my account, and I have reviewed my sessions and security activity.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced a similar situation.
Thank you.
