Student verification repeatedly rejected despite valid current school ID #209428

Same here, but a German vocational college. It keeps telling me that my billing information need to have the same first and last name as my school id - which they do. Also, that my profile needs to have the name as seen in my school id - which it does. But still I'm getting rejected... |

Your ID is in Polish, which is likely causing the OCR (text recognition) scanner to struggle mapping the required fields. Write a quick and clear translation on a piece of paper (include "First Name", "Last Name", "School Name", and "Academic Year / Expiry Date") and put it right next to your ID when you take the photo. School name mismatch: Ensure that the school name selected in the GitHub dropdown matches exactly to the school name printed on the card. Location Information: The system will check your IP address and browser location to confirm that you are physically in the same country or region as your school. Reflection on the card: Automated scanners are very sensitive to light reflections. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I’m having persistent problems with GitHub Education student verification.
I have submitted several applications using an official, recently issued student ID from my secondary school. The document clearly contains:
I have also made sure that:
Despite this, the automated verification has repeatedly rejected my applications with messages saying that my first name, last name, school name, or current date could not be identified, even though all of those details are clearly present on the document.
GitHub Support currently states that individual manual reviews are no longer provided, so I am asking here for guidance.
Is there anything else I can change in the document capture or account information to help the automated verification correctly recognize a Polish school ID?
Would placing an English translation next to the original document help the verification system?
Thank you.
