GitHub seems to no longer detect licenses for forks. For example, my repository at https://github.com/ixfd64/mfakto is a personal development fork of https://github.com/primesearch/mfakto. Both code bases are available under the GPL-3.0 license, yet GitHub labels mine as just "License" even though my repository's
COPYINGfile has the exact same text as the upstream repo's license.All reactions
