Student benefits still “Awaiting Benefits” 54 days after approval

Benefit Activation/Waiting

Hi everyone,

My GitHub Education student application was approved on August 11, 2026. However, as of October 4, 2026, the Education Benefits page still shows “Awaiting Benefits.”

The page confirms that my academic status has been approved and says that benefits will become available within 72 hours, but 54 days have passed and the status has not changed.

Could the GitHub Education team check whether benefits activation is stuck for my account and advise me on the next step?
