Payment Card Always Declined With No Reason #209765

If the card works normally with other services, I'd first double-check that the billing name, address, ZIP/postal code, expiration date, and other details entered in GitHub exactly match what your bank has on file. I'd also contact the card issuer and ask whether they're declining or blocking a transaction from GitHub. Sometimes the bank can see a decline reason that isn't shown in GitHub's error message. If the bank confirms that they're not blocking the transaction, then the issue is likely on the payment-processing side. Since you've already submitted support tickets, I'd follow up on the existing ticket rather than creating multiple new ones and include the exact error message, time of the failed attempts, and confirmation from your bank that the card is valid. Unfortunately, there isn't usually a user-side setting that can force GitHub to accept a declined payment. |

What can be done when your payment card, which is completely valid and being used by other services, just won't be accepted by GitHub payment processor, and no reason is given why. Support tickets have been submitted, but there has been no response to them?
