Hey! Just a heads-up: this is a public GitHub Community forum, so nobody here can view your private invoices, access your payment history, or issue refunds for privacy and security reasons. To get your refund and billing breakdown handled, you need to open a direct ticket with GitHub Billing Support. Here is the exact step-by-step process to get in touch with them: How to Contact GitHub Billing Support Sign in with your GitHub account. Click on Contact us and select Billing & Payments (or Account & Billing). Paste the details of your situation, including your invoice numbers (INV157257036 and INV159994793). Politely request an exceptional refund due to unexpected usage charges and financial hardship, and ask them to confirm that your account has zero pending balances. Why these extra charges usually happen Pay-as-you-go / Metered Usage: If your Copilot was attached to an organization or had usage-based features enabled, usage is calculated continuously and billed at the end of the cycle (which can hit after you click cancel). Delayed Billing Cycles: GitHub often processes metered add-on usage on a slight delay, meaning the final usage invoice generates during the next billing window. GitHub's official support team is usually very understanding with unexpected billing surprises, especially if you reach out promptly. Open a ticket at support.github.com right away so their billing team can assist you directly! |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I'm a high school student at SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and I'm having trouble applying for GitHub Education and the GitHub Student Developer Pack.
The issue:
My school provides official student email accounts using the domain:
sma3jogja.sch.idI have already added my school-issued email address to my GitHub account and successfully verified it. GitHub Settings → Emails confirms that the address is Verified.
However, when I select SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta in the GitHub Education application, the system requires an email address using a different domain:
sman3-yog.sch.idBecause of this mismatch, I cannot proceed with my student verification application.
What I've already tried:
My questions:
sma3jogja.sch.idbe reviewed and recognized as a valid school-issued email domain?I would appreciate guidance from GitHub Education staff or anyone who has experienced a similar school email domain mismatch.
Thank you for your help!
