Hi, Sorry you're running into this issue. Since you've already submitted supporting documents and contacted GitHub Education, I'd suggest asking GitHub Support to clarify the exact eligibility requirement or document that is failing verification. A few things worth checking:
Avoid posting personal documents or application details publicly. Share them only through the official support channel. I hope you can get a clear explanation and resolve this. |

Hi everyone,
I am a faculty member at Koç University, applying for GitHub Education teacher benefits under the username @sajitrao.
My application has been rejected repeatedly. Following the instructions in previous rejection emails, I have:
My latest rejection, dated October 9, 2026, lists no specific issue under “Issues to address.” It instead links to student application guidance and the Student Developer Pack FAQ, although I am applying as a faculty member.
The support portal says “technical support not included,” so I cannot submit this through General Support.
Please help me establish whether my application is correctly recorded as a faculty application and identify the specific requirement that remains unmet. If individual application reviews are unavailable, please advise how to resolve a rejection that provides no reason or corrective action.
I own the Comp100-Koc organization and need the education Team benefit to use Classroom 50 for approximately 160 students and teaching staff, following GitHub Classroom’s retirement.
I can provide the rejection emails and academic affiliation documents through an appropriate private channel. I have not attached my faculty ID to this public discussion.
Thank you,
Satyajit Rao
