Unable to Access GitHub Support Due to HTTP 403 Errors — Suspended Student Account #210143

Hi, An HTTP 403 Forbidden response from the GitHub Support portal does not necessarily mean that your reinstatement request has been rejected. It indicates that the server understood the request but refused access. Since your original account was suspended, I would recommend isolating the authentication issue from a possible network or browser restriction. 1. Try accessing the official reinstatement process Start here: If you can access the portal, follow the account reinstatement or appeal process. Avoid submitting duplicate appeals if you already have an active request. 2. Troubleshoot the HTTP 403 error Try the following:
These checks can help distinguish a browser/session problem from an account-specific access restriction. 3. Check whether the issue is account-specific If the portal loads while signed out but returns 403 after authentication, that is useful evidence of an account-related access restriction. However, this alone does not establish why access was denied. 4. About the blocked support email A rejected email to [support@github.com](mailto:support@github.com) does not necessarily indicate that your account appeal was rejected. GitHub directs support requests through its official support channels, and direct email delivery may be restricted. 5. Document the technical failure If the support portal remains inaccessible, preserve:
If an alternative official GitHub Support contact or appeal entry point is accessible, provide these details and explain that the HTTP 403 error prevents you from completing the normal reinstatement process. Regarding the October 12 incident: The reported service degradation does not establish a connection to your account suspension or the Support portal's 403 response. Finally, I would avoid creating or using additional accounts to circumvent the suspension. The reinstatement decision must be handled through GitHub's official process. One question that would help narrow this down: Does the HTTP 403 appear immediately when opening support.github.com, or only after you sign in with the suspended account? |

Hello GitHub Community,
I am experiencing an issue accessing GitHub Support and would appreciate guidance on troubleshooting it.
My original GitHub account, @CharanKumar17-a, was suspended. I have been trying to use the official reinstatement process, but I encountered HTTP 403 Forbidden errors when accessing support pages. An earlier email I sent to support@github.com was also returned as blocked.
I am a Computer Science (Data Science) student, and my original account contains academic and portfolio projects that are important to my studies and career development.
I also noticed GitHub's October 12, 2026 status incident reporting degraded performance affecting Actions, Issues, Pull Requests, and delayed notifications. I understand that this incident does not necessarily explain the suspension or the support-page errors, but I wanted to mention it as context.
I would appreciate advice on troubleshooting HTTP 403 errors when accessing the support portal and on how to report a technical issue preventing access to the official reinstatement process.
I understand that account reinstatement decisions must be handled by GitHub Support, not the community. I am seeking general technical guidance on accessing the support channel.
Thank you for your time.
