Hey! Just so you know, nobody here in Discussions can restore your quota. Only GitHub Support can do that. Open a ticket at support.github.com and pick Copilot or Billing. Paste in the same details you wrote here (time, plan, what happened), and attach the VS Code logs if you can (Output panel -> GitHub Copilot Chat). They can check what happened and decide on a credit. To keep it from happening again, you can limit how many requests the agent makes in one go. Search for chat.agent.maxRequests in VS Code settings and set it lower, so a loop stops early. Good luck, hope they sort it out! |

Hi @ntlong-codo, This community is managed by GitHub employees, but it is not a support forum. The only place to go for answers to account-specific questions like this one is opening a ticket on our Support page. This is a public forum, and the community is unable to assist with nor escalate your ticket, but we can assure you it is in the right place. There are an extremely high volume of Support tickets right now, yours will be answered in the order it was received based on the amount of tickets ahead of yours. Please open only one ticket per request. As no other Community Discussions team members will be able to provide additional help with account related questions I am going to close this discussion. We appreciate your understanding and patience while Support works through your request! |

Issue Description
I am writing to request a refund for my GitHub Copilot usage quota.
I just upgraded to Copilot Pro, ran a single prompt, and used up 79% of my quota.
I ran a specific prompt/command, and the Copilot extension encountered a glitch, consuming 79% of my available monthly/package quota without successfully resolving or delivering the answer.
I see it running in an infinite loop. It felt like it was running an infinite loop... I stopped the loop immediately, ran the same command again, and it completed while consuming less than 1% of the quota.
Since the first execution was a system failure/hang that yielded no results, I would appreciate it if you could investigate the issue and credit the 79% quota back to my account.
