Hey! Keep the English name that matches your passport. Don’t change it to Arabic. Good luck! 🙂 |

Billing & Payment Issues
Hi everyone,
I recently applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but my application was rejected because my first and last names did not exactly match the names on my academic affiliation document.
My college ID displays my legal name in Arabic, while my passport displays the same name in English, I used the English Spelling in my GitHub profile and billing information because it matches the spelling on my passport.
I believe the discrepancy between the Arabic script on my college ID and the English transliteration used in my GitHub account may have caused the verification issue.
Could you please advise me on the correct way to proceed? Should I update my GitHub profile and billing information to use my Arabic name, or can I retain the English spelling that matches my passport and provide additional documentation to verify that both names refer to the same person?
I want to ensure that my next application meets your verification requirements.
Thank you for your assistance.
