I am also affected. I submitted a ticket (#4860316) on Oct 15 for this exact issue. I was rejected on Oct 14. Waiting for the fix. Thank you for the update. |

Hello, the button remains disabled since I applied on October 15, and the status is "Pending". |

I am also impacted. I went through all the steps to do verification and add two factor authentication and now I'm stuck in pending. |

I am also facing this exact same issue. I submitted my application on October 15, 2026. I completed all the required steps, including enabling 2FA and updating my billing information. However, my application is still stuck on "Pending" and the "Start application" button is disabled. I cannot reapply. Ticket ID: #4887232 I hope the team can resolve this soon. Thank you. |

We’re aware of an issue affecting some GitHub Education applicants who are unable to reapply after submitting an application. In some cases, the application page continues to show "Pending" or the "Start application" button remains disabled, preventing a new submission.
Our team is currently investigating. We’ll share an update when we have more information.
Update: The team has identified the issue and deployed a fix at 16:00 UTC on October 15. New applicants who are not currently impacted can now proceed to submit an application.
We are continuing to investigate a resolution for users who submitted an application during the affected period, from October 13 until the fix was deployed at 16:00 UTC on October 15.
