Hi, as far as I know, there is no official “club affiliation” or club-chapter program with GitHub. The official routes are tied to individuals or institutions, not clubs. These are the closest options besides Campus Experts:

1. Campus Advisors (faculty route)
A teacher or staff member at your school can join the Campus Advisors program. Advisors get GitHub training and resources for supporting student communities. A club with an advisor who is also GitHub-connected gets much closer to the Education team than a club on its own.

2. Get your school into the GitHub Campus Program
This program is for institutions. It gives a school GitHub Enterprise and Copilot access for its students and staff. If your university isn’t a Campus partner yet, your IT department or administration can apply through education.github.com (“Schools”). This is the closest thing to an official school-level relationship.

3. Use the free education tools as a club

The Student Developer Pack (free for verified students, including Copilot and partner tools)
GitHub Classroom for workshops and bootcamps, if a teacher sets it up
A GitHub organization for the club, with repos for projects, resources and event material

4. Be visible in the Education community
Take part in the GitHub Education Community discussions (like this category). Share what your club builds and runs, and join GitHub Education events and live streams. Visibility is how clubs usually get noticed for support.

5. Ask Education directly
Describe your club (size, activities, school) and what kind of support you want, such as speakers, swag or event resources. Send it through the GitHub Education contact and support channels. I can’t promise a specific outcome, but the team can tell you which programs fit.

One note on branding: unless GitHub confirms a partnership in writing, don’t describe the club as “official” or “affiliated with GitHub”. You can say it is a student club that uses GitHub, and follow GitHub’s logo and brand guidelines if you use their marks.

If you also want to become a Campus Expert later, it’s a good complement. It’s an individual leadership program, but an Expert can bring training, mentorship and events back to your club.
