Hi @askahmad,

When an account is suspended, the main reason for the delay is that your ticket goes straight to GitHub's Trust and Safety team. Their manual review queue is highly backed up right now, often taking anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to resolve.

Here are the 3 fastest ways to handle this right now:
• Check Your Email Ticket: Make sure you received an automated confirmation email after submitting your request. Do not reply multiple times or open duplicate tickets, as this pushes your case down the queue.
• Direct Appeals Email: Send an email directly to appeals@github.com using the primary verified email address linked to your suspended account. This routes your case directly to the arbitration desk.
• Social Media Triage: Tweet your ticket number publicly to @githubsupport on X (Twitter), letting them know you are completely locked out. Social media managers can flag stuck tickets internally for faster human review.

Important Note: Do not try to create a new, temporary account to bypass the lock while waiting. GitHub’s automated abuse detection will flag it as suspension evasion and permanently ban your identity.
