Introduce yourself
Hi everyone! I’m Akshay, a backend-focused engineer.
I’m more into building scalable applications, developer tools, and products that solve real friction in software development. I enjoy working at the intersection of clean architecture, system design, and practical engineering — especially around Node.js ecosystems, SaaS, and open-source.
I spend most of my time designing and building scalable backend systems, APIs, and product features. I care deeply about performance, reliability, and developer experience.
Outside of regular work, I actively explore open-source, experiment with developer tooling, and build products that make complex workflows simpler. I’m particularly interested in how AI can reduce repetitive engineering work and help developers move faster without sacrificing quality.

Where are you in your GitHub journey?
Maintaining a project or repo owner
And where are you going next on GitHub?
I’m currently building Trove — an open-source CLI that scaffolds production-minded Node.js backends for Express, NestJS, Fastify, and Koa.
It helps developers skip the repetitive setup work (database, auth, CI/CD, Docker, testing, security defaults, etc.).
I’m also evolving it into an AI-native tool with:
Natural-language project planning
AI-assisted stack recommendations
Planned MCP support so AI coding agents can use it directly
