Hey everyone,
Our team spends most of the day in Slack, so a lot of CI talk happens there. Things like "release build is red, here's the run" or "deploy's going, link below".
The catch is that pasting a link to an Actions run (
https://github.com/<owner>/<repo>/actions/runs/<id>) doesn't get the rich preview that issues and PRs get. So everyone clicks through just to see whether it's still running or already failed. What would really help: when someone pastes a run link, the GitHub app shows a status icon next to it (queued / in progress / success / failed / cancelled).
That icon should stay up to date as the run goes. A link posted mid-run would then turn green or red once it finishes, without anyone having to check.
The app already asks for read access to actions and checks "to render previews of links shared in Slack", so it seems like most of the pieces are already there.
Is anything like this on the roadmap?
And if someone has a decent workaround in the meantime, I'd love to hear it.
