Hi! I have two questions about achievements on @ruslanty.

• I earned Pull Shark through private activity. I now have three public PRs merged into main, but the badge only appears when private contributions are enabled. Why isn’t it visible publicly? PR #2, #4, #5.

• A friend and I completed PR #9. It was merged, includes a Co-authored-by entry for @ruslanty, and GitHub shows both authors on the commit. Why hasn’t Pair Extraordinaire appeared?

Hi @ruslanty!

Here is why those two achievements might be behaving that way and how to fix them:

1. Pull Shark Visibility:

   • Achievements on GitHub profile display tiers based on merged Pull Requests.
   • If your public PRs were merged into your own forks or unmerged branches, they won't trigger the public badge tier.
   • Make sure your public PRs (Feature Request: Select a column when adding an issue to a project #2, iOS bug report: strange backstack behavior when navigating to a file #4, Feature request: support jumping to lines in files #5) were merged directly into the default branch (main/master) of a standalone, non-forked repository.

2. Pair Extraordinaire Requirements:

   • To unlock Pair Extraordinaire, the co-authored commit MUST have the Co-authored-by: trailer in the commit message body (not just mentioned in the PR description).
   • Format requirement:
     Co-authored-by: username <email@example.com>
   • The email used in the Co-authored-by trailer must be verified and linked to the co-author's GitHub account.
   • Once the commit with a valid co-author trailer is merged into the default branch, the badge updates automatically within a few hours.

Update:
I still haven’t received the Pair Extraordinaire achievement for the earlier merged co-authored PR mentioned above.
I repeated the experiment in a second public repository:
PR #3 was merged into main, and its commit includes Co-authored-by: ruslanty <github@element.id.lv>.
I also verified that this email is confirmed on my GitHub account.
The achievement still hasn’t appeared.
