Fine-grained access token permission required to read a repo's projects

When I create a fine-grained personal access token I don't see a "Projects" selection available to add. Which permission do I need to add?

To add the "Projects" permission to a personal access token, you will need to have the "write" permission for the repository or organization that the project is associated with. Here's how you can add the "Projects" permission to a personal access token:

1. Go to the "Settings" page of the repository or organization where your project is located.

2. Click on "Manage access" or "Collaborators & teams" to view the list of users and teams with access to the repository or organization.

3. Locate your username or team name in the list, and click on the "Edit" button next to it.

4. In the "Grant permission" dialog box, select the "Write" permission and click "Add".

5. Go to the "Personal access tokens" page in your GitHub account settings.

6. Create a new token or edit an existing one.

7. In the "Select scopes" section, select the "Projects" permission.

8. Save your changes and use the updated personal access token to access your project.

By granting the "write" permission to your repository or organization, you should now be able to select the "Projects" permission when creating or editing your personal access token.

1. I'm the owner of the repo, so I don't appear in the collaborators & teams section.
2. Fine-grained personal access tokens do not have a "Select scopes" section.
3. You're referring to a "classic" Personal access token.
