Q2 2024 | DCDAO Management, Maintenance and Development Proposal

Introduction

This proposal is in extension of the Ecosystem Program Proposal and reflects additional positions needed and sought by the members. These responsibilities will be taken over by my team @ DotMatrix- under my responsibility- and I. First I would extend special thanks to the DCDAO team especially Aki Wu for helping with these details and giving me an opportunity to contribute to the development of the projects.

I'd propose like to propose the following:

As a Technical Manager I'd be overseeing these positions/responsibilities:

• Technical Manager : This position is rather broad and multifaceted, and will be primarily managed by myself; In this role, I will approach responsibilities on a task completion basis rather than being constrained by specific time limits. This approach is particularly effective as the work is geared towards enhancing team dynamics and increasing the overall effectiveness of the team. The responsibilities I will undertake in this role include:

1. Managing and breaking down technical requirements, ensuring clear and efficient communication between the team and stakeholders. Essentially acting as a liaison between the team and Technical personnel.
2. Managing the technical personnel of DCDAO, including arranging regular meetings to maintain cohesive team involvement and alignment towards our common goals.
3. Focusing on strategies to improve the overall effectiveness of the team, ensuring that our objectives are met with the highest standards.
4. Leading technical evaluations and recruitment efforts to build a skilled and competent team.
5. Maintaining detailed records of the technical personnel, noting their strengths and weaknesses to better understand team dynamics and individual development needs, Constant review and assessment of technical works.
6. Sourcing and recruiting technical personnel.
   In summary, the goal in this role is to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, grow the team, and drive the projects/tasks towards successful completion with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Amount proposed for the above: $2,500/month

• Darwinia Website Maintenance: This is a proposed to keep the Darwinia.Network website up and running free of bugs and adding new features/pages from time to time and will primarily be managed by my team- This has already started with the addition of the 'Get Ring' page completed, approved and deployed here. This work entails a total of 5-10 days worth of work every month and is being proposed as a retainer, meaning the workload can vary from 1 to 10 days, keeping the payment the same. Moreover, my team and I don't mind doing slightly more work than this, given that any major re-haul or features aren't required, and we are even happy to take care of similar works of other Darwinina related domains.

Amount proposed for this work: $1,000/month

• Integration Specialist: The responsibilities below are carried over from the Ecosystem Program Proposal and has already started work on it and is being handled between my team and I - you can see the last report here

1. Oversee and manage Darwinia integration projects on a part-time basis, coordinating closely with external systems.
2. Collaborate with technical teams to address and solve integration challenges, contributing to the ecosystem's development in a flexible capacity.
3. The current projects demanding integration involve a range of critical services and providers in the ecosystem, including Indexers such as TheGraph, Subquery, and Subsquid; Developer tools; RPC (Remote Procedure Call) providers; various Data Providers like Coingecko; and Wallet Providers, among others.

Moreover this role is also multifaceted and is focused on getting the tasks done rather than being on a fixed time constraint, also includes communications with external teams and DCDAO.

• Data Analyst: The responsibilities below are carried over from the Ecosystem Program Proposal and needs to be recruited, which I am currently working on as well, and will keep the community posted.

1. Work part-time with Subscan Open Platform and other key data platforms, focusing on data collection, interpretation, and analysis.
2. Ensure effective data integration and exchange between DCDAO and these platforms in a flexible working arrangement.
3. Employ data analysis skills to understand and support community needs and engagement, tailored to a part-time role.
4. Provide analytical support to community projects and initiatives on a part-time basis.

Amount proposed for this work: $1,500/month
