V4 page structure: which element should be used as the main section wrapper? Сlassic Container or atomic Flexbox?

Describe the Problem

I'm building new sites with the V4 Atomic editor, and it's not clear to me how pages are supposed to be structured now.

The editor currently gives me two ways to build a layout:

• the classic containers (Flexbox / Grid container)
• the new atomic elements (Div element, Flexbox)

Both work, and I can even mix them on the same page. For example, I can put atomic elements inside a classic container or classic widgets inside a Div element. But there is no guidance on which approach is recommended:

Should new pages be built with atomic elements only, or is it fine to keep using classic containers?
Is mixing them on the same page an intended, long-term supported way to build, or just a temporary state during the transition?
If classic containers will eventually be replaced, will there be a way to convert existing layouts?

Without this, I'm not sure my pages are built "the right way", and I'm worried I'll have to rebuild them later when V4 changes or the classic containers are phased out.

Propose a Solution

Please add clear official guidance about building layouts in V4, for example in the V4 FAQ or a docs article. By "layout elements" I mean the top-level wrappers of a page: the outer sections that hold all the content inside them.

1. Recommended top-level wrapper. For these main wrappers, should new pages use atomic Flexbox / Div elements, or is the classic Container still a recommended choice in V4? The FAQ currently mentions only "v3 Widgets", not the Container.
2. Example structure. Add a short example of how a typical page should be structured in V4, from the top-level wrapper down to the content (section → inner wrapper → content), including boxed and full-width sections.

Elementor 4.3.2.

The current docs give mixed signals about the top-level wrapper:

• The "Get started with the Elementor Editor V4" article says a V4 element dropped on the canvas is automatically wrapped in a 3.x Container. In 4.3.2 the editor wraps it in an atomic Flexbox instead.
• Some V4 features, like Components and Global Classes, work only with atomic elements. That suggests atomic Flexbox / Div as the top-level wrapper. But the FAQ still says mixing with v3 is fine and doesn't mention the Container.

Approaches I've considered:

1. Classic Container as the top-level wrapper, atomic elements inside. It has a built-in boxed / full-width option, but the wrapper stays on v3.
2. Atomic Flexbox / Div as the top-level wrapper. It's fully V4, but I couldn't find a built-in boxed / full-width option. I have to recreate it with classes (max-width + margin auto).

Knowing which approach is intended would help me build pages that won't need to be reworked later.
