When you upload something and it expires in a couple years is actually a genius solution to bloating over time. For some specific use-cases someone might want to have something permanent, though. Maybe there is a history wall of some sort or theme that uses the attachment.
Proposal
Maybe each account gets a limited amount of flags/pins for saved media, which they can also maybe see in a tab or "open a photo drawer" to check what they've chosen to save.
Notes
Plutonium users could benefit with either each month granting +1 pin or they just have a flat total of +10 pins, but once plutonium ends they will have to keep the number of pins to not lose those pins all of a sudden.
The media that becomes pinned might have a prompt/option whether to make the link public (in case this media is in a private community, but intended for a public theme) or private (in case the work is for a client, but only you and the client need to see this history).
For media that is a video or zip (larger than some typical image size), then perhaps it costs more pins. In that case also maybe monthly pin increase for plutonium users could be +amount to be enough for the larger file.
