Let's say somebody owning a Fluxer community adds a bot for automod but the automod accidentally deletes lots of valuable messages.
Now we wish we were able to make atleast one Fluxer-hosted backup of it to restore a previous snapshot from before the mishap happened.
Proposal
I think we should introduce Community Snapshots.
Community Snapshots
Community owners and peope with the Administrator permission granted to them can manage community backups (or maybe we can make it a separate Manage Backups permission).
Community backups would be always hosted on the Fluxer servers and are to be used just like when you restore a virtual machine's state in e.g. VirtualBox, VMware Workstation etc.
For free users the maximum number would be 2 backups, and 5 backups for Plutonium subscribers.
For uploaded media & images, videos etc; the media gets marked as 'don't really delete (soft-delete)' after a community backup took place, but they don't get included in the backups.
They basically just don't get truly deleted in the first place, and they get restored as long as they didn't expire by the time you restore a community snapshot / backup.
Notes
I use the words Community snapshots and Community backups interchangeably.
