Problem
A person might have the username like "Dragonslayer123" which makes it hard to tell who the person actually is when browsing the friend list (outside of a guild). If I, as a user could rename the person to their real name "Eric Ericsson" as an example, that would be a huge help.
Currently you can add a note to the friend, but that requires a few steps to read, see image:

Proposed solution
I would like to propose "out of guilt nicknames" which does not affect nicknames in guilds.
The nickname could be added using the "..."-menu when viewing a user, see image:
