Summary

I would like to add a specific group of ips or networks to the rules of the resource.

Motivation

Constantly adding ips then having to order them correctly is tedious. being able to allow an ip list would be easier and more organized. I also forget what ip is referring too since theirs no comment or description for the rule.

Proposed Solution

add a feature to uses group aliases where a list of ips could be added to the group. Also, add a description or info field to each rule line.

Alternatives Considered

Drag and drop rules instead of numbers would still ask for a description field.

I support both parts of this proposal.

Having reusable IP/network groups (aliases) would make rule management much cleaner and avoid duplicating the same IPs across multiple resources.

Also, an optional Description/Comment field for each rule would make it much easier to understand why a rule exists (office, home, customer, temporary access, monitoring server, etc.).

Both features would significantly improve usability for installations with a large number of access rules.
