We’re opening the Candidate Announcement and Community Feedback stage of the Fractal 2025–2026 Retroactive Development Rewards Program, as outlined in FIP-30.

The program recognizes completed products and technical contributions that have created verifiable value for the Fractal ecosystem. The Fractal Team is opening a seven-day period for project nominations, and sharing an initial candidate list to start the discussion.

PrimeTriad

PrimeTriad builds practical mining and staking infrastructure for Fractal, including support for small home mining devices. Its platform combines an independent mining pool with permissionless Stratum access, Hybrid PPS+ mining, on-chain payouts, and Index Mining through PrimeIndexer, with an option to direct mining payouts into an existing stake.

UTXO Pizza

Dashboard · Timelock Tool

UTXO Pizza develops tools for the Fractal and Bitcoin ecosystems. Its Fractal Stake Dashboard brings together network staking data, indexer information, proofs, address-level rewards, and staking records, making Index Mining activity easier to monitor. UTXO Pizza has also developed the Bitcoin Asset Timelock Tool, extending its contributions to asset-management tooling.

Fractal Arena

Game

Fractal Arena is a browser-based game developed independently by Arthefacte, combining idle combat, strategy, and character progression. It expands the range of consumer applications on Fractal and offers a game-based way to engage with the ecosystem.

Community Feedback and Nominations

We welcome the community to share feedback on candidate projects and nominate other projects that have contributed to the Fractal ecosystem. Both self-nominations and community recommendations are welcome.

Next Steps

After the nomination period, the Fractal Team will verify the information, contact project teams, and complete the final review under the FIP-30 framework. Award recipients, reward amounts, and forms of support will be announced publicly.

Inclusion in the candidate list does not guarantee an award. Reviews will consider each project’s contributions and circumstances, including completion, ecosystem value, actual impact, product quality, and prior support. Likes and endorsements alone will not determine the outcome.

What it has built on Fractal

A 3v3 idle auto-battler that runs in the browser, developed independently by one person and kept in continuous production. Players assemble a team of three entities and progress them permanently — fused, rerolled with stat locks, equipped with relics, specialised through talent trees. In the Pit (PvE) the server draws one enemy team per fight, the player stakes 10/25/50 FA and wins at ×1.7. In the Arena ladder (PvP) they attack other players' frozen defence snapshots, counter-pick their own attackers, and climb ELO-rated weekly league seasons.

The same game exposes a second, deliberately different client for AI agents: the Pit shows an agent three enemy teams to choose from (stakes 5/12/25 FA), and the Arena ladder pairs it server-side by ELO against both other agents and the human defences posed in the Arena.

The in-game currency is FRACTALARENA, a BRC-20 token issued on Fractal. Deposits and withdrawals happen on-chain through UniSat. Every FA spent in the game — fights, forge, boosts, PvP entries — feeds buyback pools used to buy the token back on the DEX and lock the liquidity permanently.

Why it matters for the ecosystem

1. Non-crypto onboarding. There is no wallet step to start playing: you click, the game creates your account, and a Fractal wallet only enters the picture once a player has earned something to withdraw. Today, 72 of 134 accounts were created that way — for a game on a Bitcoin chain, the wallet barrier is gone for the majority of players, not just offered as an option.

2. An agent-facing client, live as an MCP server in the official Model Context Protocol registry (io.github.Arthefacte/fractal-arena, npm package fractal-arena-mcp, currently 1.6.1). An AI agent can register, fund itself, play the Arena ladder and the Pit, and hold $FRACTALARENA with no GUI at all. It is early — 4 agents have registered so far — and the interface is public and documented. With FIP-101 deployed on Fractal, this is one of the few chains where an autonomous agent can mine, stake and play. That is a category of usage no dashboard produces.

Verifiable figures — all read on 2026-09-16

From the game's production database:

• 134 registered accounts, 20 active over the last 7 days.
• 155,278 fights played since 2026-06-03, of which 50,967 in the last 7 days.
• 72 of 134 accounts created without a wallet (wallet-free onboarding path).
• 930,000 FA bought back on-chain in 90 tranches, most recent on 2026-09-14.

On-chain:

• InSwap pool FA/sFB has exactly three entries in its public holder list (pool_holders, pair sFB___000 / FractalArena): the exchange's own Locked LP position holding 3,329,408.95 FA (80.09% of pool LP), a Burned LP position holding 812,907.80 FA (19.55%), and the wallet holding that lock. There is no third-party liquidity provider, and InSwap lists the lock itself in its own LP holder view.
• 205,550 FA burned outright to the Fractal burn address across three ceremonies, the most recent on 2026-09-14 (txid 265f2d7a1f3716b3fff0383c03170cfd47de32413f5f13bf475378a251730eab). The individual txids are public and checkable.
• Token FractalArena: BRC-20 on Fractal, supply 1,000,000,000.

Thanks for opening FIP-30 with a public nomination window.The initial three candidates cover different layers — mining/staking infra (PrimeTriad), dashboards and tooling (UTXO Pizza), and a consumer app (Fractal Arena). That mix is a reasonable starting point. I also agree with the note that inclusion on this list should not be read as a decision.

Why it helps the ecosystem

PrimeTriad is operator-run infrastructure: another place for hashrate to land, a live FIP-101 staking route, and an explicit bridge proposal (FIP-104) so active miners can compound into index mining through allowlisted pools — without a single-venue choke point.
